Juris Doctor

Grad Dip in Legal Practice
(College of Law University)

Kerri holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in law and society and a Juris Doctor, both of which were obtained at the University of Western Australia. Most recently, Kerri completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law and obtained a Certificate in Business Skills during her studies.

Kerri was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in August 2020.

Joining the team at Carter Dickens Lawyers in 2018 as a law clerk, Kerri has had exposure to a variety of areas of law. Kerri now practices in all areas of family law, with a particular interest in complex financial matters. Being originally from the United Kingdom, Kerri also enjoys matters with an international aspect, whether that be relocation cases or matters involving overseas assets. Kerri also practices in wills and estates law, including family provision claims.

Being a solution-oriented lawyer, Kerri believes that court proceedings should be the last option; alternative dispute resolution (such as negotiation and mediation) should always be attempted before initiating proceedings. In matters with proceedings already on foot, Kerri appears before the Court at various mediation-style conferences to help clients fully explore the available creative solutions.
