Rachel Robson

Associate

Bachelor of Laws (Hons)
(Edith Cowan University)

Graduating from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2015, Rachel undertook her Practical Legal Training, volunteering with a Community Based Legal Centre focusing on homelessness and completing her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with Australian National University.

Rachel was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in December 2016, and commenced employment as a solicitor with a defendant insurance law practice, specialising in workers compensation. Wanting to broaden her practice areas, skills and knowledge of the law, Rachel then commenced working with a boutique law firm in 2019, working over a variety of practice areas, including personal injuries, criminal law, family law, employment law, wills and estates, civil litigation, and commercial law.

Seeking to hone her practice in several areas Rachel commenced with Carter Dickens in April 2023, and specialises in criminal law, family law, wills and estates and civil litigation.

A keen and experienced defence criminal trial advocate, Rachel appears as Counsel in Magistrates Court trials, sentencing hearings in the District Court of WA, and acts as instructing solicitor in District Court trials. She also acts as Counsel in restraining order matters.

As a practitioner, Rachel prioritises her clients, and seeks the best possible outcome, by utilising strategy and alternative dispute resolution.

She is sensitive to her client’s needs and is a hardworking and determined practitioner.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, walking her dog, playing chess and cooking.
